Dr. Geeta Davuluri

Dr. G. DavuluriDr. Geeta Davuluri is a vitreoretinal specialist at The NationalRetina Institute. She is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of all retinal disorders with special interest in ocular inflammation and uveitis, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment.

Dr. Davuluri graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. She then earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. While in medical school Dr. Davuluri was presented with The Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement award - the American Medical Women Association's award for scholastic achievement. Dr. Davuluri completed residency training in ophthalmology at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC, where in 2003-2004 she served as Chief Resident. Following residency training Dr. Davuluri undertook a uveitis and ocular immunology fellowship program at the National Eye Institute/National Institutes of Health, followed by a vitreoretinal fellowship at The National Retina Institute.

Dr. Davuluri has extensive experience in clinical research, including serving as a clinical research coordinator in the Department of Ophthalmology at George Washington University Medical School, and a research internship at the Royal Free Hospital and School of Medicine in London, England. She is currently involved in ground-breaking research being conducted at NRI that is focused on mapping of human retinal proteome, which will lead to an increased understanding of the mechanisms by which pathology in the eye develop.
